One Key to Unlock Them All: Decathlon Deploys InVue OneKEY To Reduce Losses

Decathlon has installed the InVue OneKEY smart locking system in its Vilnius store. The system is used in the athletic footwear area to prevent theft. The solution was supplied and installed by Neto Baltic, InVue’s partner in the Baltic states.

InVue OneKEY is a loss-prevention system that allows staff to unlock all smart locks with a single key. The system includes smart locks for various retail fixtures such as cabinets, drawers, display cases, and electronics stands. Each lock can be opened with the OneKEY smart key. The key is linked to a specific employee or department, and access rights can be customized. InVue’s software records who opened each lock and when, ensuring full traceability and easy auditing.

In the Vilnius Decathlon store, the system is used in the sports footwear section. Shoes are displayed openly, while their pairs of different sizes are stored in locked cabinets. There are more than 90 cabinets, and store consultants can open them with the OneKEY system. Three keys are used to manage the area.

“After installing OneKEY, we immediately reduced theft-related losses. It is also important that we no longer need 90 separate mechanical keys, which are often misplaced. Employees do not waste time searching for the right key and can quickly show products to customers,” said Rinaldas Užkurėlis, Operations Manager of Decathlon in Vilnius.

The solution was designed and installed by Neto Baltic, a retail technology company and InVue’s official partner in the Baltic States.

“In retail, companies often have to choose between product security and good customer experience. InVue solutions support both and make daily work easier for staff. When theft affects product display or storage, InVue’s smart key systems help reduce inconvenience for customers and employees,” said Rokas Budvilaitis, CEO of Neto Baltic.

According to InVue research, stores using the OneKEY system have reduced theft-related losses by 33 percent. In addition, 75 percent of store employees said that InVue solutions help them serve customers more easily.

InVue develops product protection, access control, and entry-management solutions. The company is one of the leading creators of contact-based product security systems worldwide. InVue was founded in 1972 in the United States and now operates in 90 countries. Its solutions are used by brands such as Apple, Samsung, LG, Bose, and many others.
